It’s been a little while, but the past few weeks have just been a little crazy. Work has been hectic and prepping for baby’s arrival has definitely taken up a lot of time. Soon, it will be all about baby snuggles and cozy fall days. Apple picking, pumpkin patch, coloured leaves and fall baking.

Labour day weekend is for many, the start of fall. So, we’ve finally arrived! It’s time to bust out the sweaters and ankle boots! While the weather may still be on the warmer side, there are definitely many things to look forward in the upcoming weeks. Here is a list of things to look forward to as we enter the Fall season.

Back to School

Whether you have kids or not, for me at least, the start of the school season almost feels like the start of a new year. I do work in education, so that might be why, but I always remember the excitement of “Back to School” shopping. The fresh notebooks, new pens, new clothes. Even though I didn’t have kids, it always feels like something exciting is about to happen at the start of a new school year.

Apple Picking

My favourite apple orchard opened for apple picking, and I cannot wait to go! It’s a great way to get outside, enjoy the weather, and pick up some fresh apples for baking (and snacking). My favourite orchard has a ton of activities too… A corn maze, wagon ride, nature trails, and fresh cider donuts made right in front of you. If you’re someone who enjoys taking pictures, there is definitely something very aesthetic about orchard pictures.

Pumpkin Season

Pumpkin season has also officially begun! Most coffee shops are already offering their fall menus (Hello Pumpkin Spice!), and a visit to the pumpkin patch is definitely high up on the fall to do list.

Fall decor

Fall decor is also in full swing. All of the cute fall accent pillows and throws, mugs and tableware. I’ve already started to collect a few items, but I am excited to fully decorate this year. I know I’ll be busy with a new baby on my hip, but I am hopeful that I’ll still have time to make my space as fall forward as possible.
